We collect only what you type into the quote request form: your name, work email, phone number, company and your specification, plus the optional product, quantity and required date.

If you choose to attach a file to your request — a drawing, datasheet, bill of materials or photograph — we store that file, its filename and its size. Attaching a file requires an account, so in that case we also hold the email address you registered with. You can ask for a quote without an account and without attaching anything.

Uploaded documents are stored privately. They are not published, not indexed and not reachable by anyone without a link we generate for you or for our engineers, which expires after five minutes.

We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on this website, and we do not use cookies for marketing. The only cookies set are the session cookies required to sign in to an account.

With each request we also record how you reached us: the page your visit started on, the page you sent the request from, the name of the website that linked you here (its name only, never the full address) and any campaign labels already in the link you followed, such as utm_source. Your browser keeps this for the current tab only, sends it with the request and nowhere else, and our staff use it only to understand which channels bring enquiries.

To limit automated abuse of the form we store a one-way salted hash of the sending IP address together with a request count. The IP address itself is never written to our database.

Everything above applies to the app as well — it sends the same quote requests to the same database, marked as sent from the app with your phone's platform and the app version instead of the website details above. The app collects two things the website does not.

If you allow notifications, we store a push token issued by your phone's operating system, together with the platform (iOS or Android), the name your device reports for itself and the app version. We use these for one purpose: to tell you that a quotation is ready. We keep a record of the notifications we sent you so we can tell whether they arrived.

Notifications are delivered through Expo's push service, which passes them to Apple or Google to reach your device. The notification carries the quote reference and the fact that it is ready; it does not carry prices, drawings or specifications.

You can turn notifications off at any time in the app under Account → Settings, or in your phone's own settings. Turning them off revokes the token. Because we do not send email, switching them off means you will only find out about a quotation by opening the app yourself.

The app requests access to your photo library only at the moment you choose to attach an image to a request, and only for the file you pick. It does not use your location, your contacts, your camera or your microphone, and it contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software of any kind.

You can delete your account from inside the app under Account → Settings → Delete account, or on this website from your account page. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

Deleting your account destroys your sign-in, removes every registered device and the record of notifications we sent you, and removes your name, email address and phone number from the enquiries and quotations attached to it.

We keep the commercial record — what was specified, in what quantity, and at what price — because a quotation is a business document we are required to be able to produce. It is kept without your personal details attached. One honest limitation: the specification you wrote is the record, so anything personal you typed into that free-text field remains part of it.

We use your details for one purpose: to prepare and send the quotation you asked for, and to correspond with you about it. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated — and, where you are in the EU or UK, the steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.

We do not sell, rent or share your information for anyone else's marketing.

Your enquiry is not emailed or forwarded anywhere. It is written to our database and read by our team in an internal console — no third-party inbox or mailing tool is involved.

If you use our app and have allowed notifications, we send one through Expo's push service to tell you a quotation is ready. That is the only outbound message this system produces, and it is described in full below.

These service providers handle data on our behalf, under contract:

• Turso — the database where enquiries are stored.
• Vercel — website hosting and server logs.
• Cloudflare R2 — stores any requirement documents you attach to a quote request. The bucket is private; files are not publicly readable.
• Clerk — accounts. This covers our own staff signing in to the admin console, and any customer who creates an account in order to attach a file. If you asked for a quote without creating an account, Clerk holds nothing about you.
• Google Maps — the map on our contact page is an embedded frame. Loading that page causes your browser to contact Google, which is subject to Google's own privacy policy.

Some of these providers operate outside India. Where data is transferred internationally, it is done under the safeguards those providers offer in their data processing terms.

We keep quote requests for as long as needed to serve the enquiry and to honour the commercial and tax record-keeping obligations that follow from it. You may ask us to delete yours sooner.

You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email geniustransformer@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in India you may also raise a grievance with us under the DPDP Act; if you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

The site is served only over HTTPS with a strict content security policy. Access to stored enquiries requires an authenticated staff account with an administrator role. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted here.
