EEThe default. Widest window for its size, easy to wind, cheap to tool.
EIE half plus a flat I bar. Lower cost, slightly higher stray field.
EFDFlat, low-profile section. For designs where board height is the constraint.
ETDRound centre limb. Shorter mean turn length, so lower copper loss at power.
PQRound limb in a square footprint. Best window-to-volume ratio of the set.
RMNearly closed pot. Strong self-shielding where EMI is the binding limit.
